M.A. is a patient at Precision Spinal Care. She began treatment in April of 1996 with Dr. Johanna Hoeller. At that time M.A. was having headaches everyday, extreme neck, shoulder and arm pain. She also had hip and leg pain. These symptoms were the result of an automobile accident that M.A. had in July of 1995.

M.A. had been trying a variety of treatment methods. Her medical doctor had told her that she would never be pain free and that her problem was caused by arthritis in her neck and there was no treatment. When M.A. tried massage therapy it provided temporary relief but did not solve the problem. She also tried physical therapy that supplied her with some "tricks" to relieve the pain but she had to be doing the exercises 24 hours a day to maintain relief.

When M.A. was treating with her massage therapist, Joe Brooks, he recommended that she try out chiropractic with Dr. Hoeller. M.A. came to the conclusion that she needed to see a chiropractor because she felt that her pain was originating in her spine.

After almost one year post-accident, M.A. began treatment with Dr. Hoeller. At that time she was not familiar with the type of chiropractic work Dr. Hoeller performed. After her first adjustment she could immediately move her neck. M.A. exclaimed , "I got in the car and could look from side to side, and behind me, for the first time since the accident.

M.A. explains the work in these terms, "It is a precise procedure that is performed after a set of X-Rays are taken of the upper neck. The doctor gives an adjustment that moves the neck but doesn't hurt. Once the neck is aligned and the head is balanced the rest of the spine falls into place, kind of like dominos. It is a kind and gentle way to get well. In other words for me it was a shortcut to wellness.

Within the first three weeks after M.A. began treatment she realized that she had had many pain free days. This was the first time she could remember being pain free since the accident occurred. She understood that the healing of her spine was going to take time and that it was a process.

M.A. is now pain free most of the time and is so excited to have found an answer. To M.A. the solution is simple, 'if you don't want to be in pain anymore, see Dr. Hoeller. 206-547-6370
